When you work for DJK Transportation as an over-the-road (OTR) driver — a job referred to as long-haul trucking — you can expect a life of adventure. It certainly a lifestyle that as you know that requires you to be away from home, but in exchange, it gives you the freedom to explore the our BEAUTIFUL country while also making a wonderful living.
Additional Pay
Stop-Offs: $35 per stop (not including first pickup and final stop).
Canadian Border: $35 per loaded crossing.
New York Runs: $50 for deliveries to or from between zip codes mainly around New York City and Long Island.
Cartage and Most Other Local Trips: For trips shorter than 100 miles, earn your mileage rate plus an extra $20 per load.
Layovers: After 48 hours, earn $90 per 24 hours of layover time.
Non-Customary: An extra $17.50 per hour for assignments outside normal scope of work that don’t fall into other additional-pay categories.
Bonuses
Holiday bonus: We know that Holiday Seasons are for family and we appreciate you being away from yours! Earn an extra $60 per day for working on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas.
Northeast Bonus: Earn an extra $0.05 per mile driving in Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Virginia.
Performance-based bonuses: Bonuses for outstanding achievements related to safe driving, mileage and more for solo, regional, team or dedicated drivers finished with training, up to $0.04 per mile.
