When you work for DJK Transportation, Inc. as an over-the-road (OTR) driver you can expect a life of adventure while on the open road. It’s certainly a lifestyle that does require you to be away from home but it also gives you the freedom to explore our BEAUTIFUL country while also making a excellent living.

Additional Pay

Pay for Common Situations


Detention Pay – $50 after the first two (2) hours – up to $200

Stop-Offs: $35 per stop (not including first pickup and final stop).

Canadian Border: Earn an extra $35 per loaded crossing.

New York & Long Island: An extra $50 for deliveries to or from certain zip codes mainly in New York City and Long Island.

Cartage and Other Local: For trips shorter than 100 miles, earn your mileage rate plus an extra $20 per load.

Layovers: After 48 hours, earn $90 per 24 hours of layover time.

Non-Customary Work: An extra $17.50 per hour for assignments outside normal scope of work that don’t fall into other additional-pay categories.



Company Driver Sign on Bonus: New hires receive a $5,000 sign on bonus for solo drivers and teams receive a $20,000 ($10,000 per driver) sign on bonus!

Holiday bonus: We know that Holidays are meant to be spent with family and we appreciate you leaving yours for this career. So you will earn an extra $60 per day for working on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas.

Northeast Bonus: Earn an extra $0.05 per mile driving in Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Virginia.

Performance-based bonuses: Bonuses for outstanding achievements related to safe driving, mileage and more for solo, regional, team or dedicated drivers up to $0.04 per mile.
